09. September

September, you sneaky thing! I blinked and now we’re at the end of the month.

For the first time in a long time, I find myself enjoying more freedom and control over my daily schedule. After months of juggling a busy routine, I finally have the ability to carve out my own rhythm. I have to say, not being confined by a rigid 9 to 5 schedule feels really good. It’s very liberating being able to adjust my work to suit my lifestyle. Whether it’s waking up a little later, taking breaks when I need them, or shifting my priorities, there’s an added sense of ownership that I’m thoroughly enjoying.

I can’t believe my internship is nearing its end. I started it mid July and now we’re here. This internship has been such a rewarding experience, one where I’ve been able to apply my skills while gaining new insights into the industry. While there have have been things I’ve noticed that have been different, I’m really glad I did it. Wrapping up this internship feels bittersweet — I’m excited for what’s ahead but also thankful for the experiences and connections I’ve made.

One of the biggest joys for me this month has been the opportunity to create. With more freedom in my schedule, I’ve had the chance to focus on building my personal brand. I finally created my first Instagram carousel, something I had been wanting to do for a while but just didn’t know where to start. For me, it was a big deal. At first, it was a bit of a challenge to find my groove, but once I did, it was like a light bulb went off. I was doing something I genuinely enjoyed — creating content that felt authentic to me. The process of designing, writing, and sharing something that reflects my style and voice was incredibly fulfilling, and it made me realise, that’s the goal for me, that’s what I want to be doing for the rest of my life, for my job. It reignited my passion for creating and I realised just how much I thrive in that space, and it reminds me that making time for creativity in your life can be one of the most rewarding things you can do.

One simple but surprisingly impactful change I’ve made to my daily routine is drinking hot water in the morning. It might sound basic, but I’ve found it to be such a grounding way to start my day. It’s one of those small habits that’s quickly become a favourite part of my morning routine, and it’s amazing how something so simple can make me feel so much more balanced throughout the day.

Along with adjusting my morning routine, I’ve also switched up my workout regimen by incorporating skipping and jump rope. Being outside always makes me happy, and skipping just feel like the perfect way to combine fitness with fresh air. It works my entire body - legs, core, arms, glutes - and I love that it’s such a dynamic, fast-paced activity that gets my heart pumping. The best part is that not only is it a great workout, but it also helps clear my mind. When I’m jumping rope, I’m focused entirely on the rhythm and movement, and all the mental clutter fades away.

As I reflect on September, I feel a sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the freedom to shape my days, the lessons I learned during my internship, and for the chance to look ahead to the final months of 2025. This month marks a transition — a shift towards a new chapter in both my personal and professional life.

Here’s to making the most of the time we have left in 2025. Whether it’s getting ready to enjoy the summer weather or diving into new opportunities, there is still plenty to look forward to.
